GROWN DIAMONDS GROW FORESTS

“We are proud to work with the Red Cross and Qingsuo Philanthropy Development Center to grow a saxaul forest in the desert and name it as the CARAXY LOVE FOREST”

– Leon Kwok, Founder of CARAXY

2022

The love forest was started in the middle of 2022, over 1,500 sauxaul trees were planted in the year. A sustained annual plan is made according to CARAXY's sales volume of engagement rings, and the ultimate goal is growing 100,000 trees in total.

2024

The love forest already reached half human height when Leon (Founder of CARAXY) visited it after almost two years. Day and night these saxaul trees strived for their growth in this desert, with extremely limited water and soil, but terrible sand and wind. (Even the Y letter of CARAXY lost one of its "hand")

The Story ABOUT

HOW CARAXY LOVE FOREST STARTED

A best practice of embracing brand value proposition and corporate ESG.

Minqin County

Minqin County is one of the most desertified residential areas in the world. Located at the conjunction of the Badain Jaran Desert and  Tengger Desert.

It used to be a green jewel on the ancient Silk Road, with lakes, rivers and oases.

Today,  sand has reached 95 percent of its surface area. Tens of thousands of people were forced to abandon their homes and leave Minqin, but some chose to stay or even return - to protect their hometown from vanishing.

Hero - Junhe Ma

Junhe Ma is one of the leaders in fighting  with desertification in Minqin County.

"I can't be homeless! The meaning of hometown is not just for me, but also for my next generation."

– Junhe Ma

In more than ten years, Junhe has facilitated more than 60,000 acres of sand to be planted with green plants, mainly saxauls, a kind of plant that  is native to the desert, and has perpetuated this oasis in his hometown.

CARAXY

As a pioneering brand in the lab-grown diamond sector, we were also exploring more ESG practice beyond the product.

lab-grown diamond itself is a green and sustainable product, but how can we do more than just the product itself?

We advocate "Grow Your Love" and emphasis long-termism, but how can we combine our philosophy with a down-to-the-earth pracitice?

It wasn't until Leon Kwok, founder of CARAXY, met Junhe Ma, founder of Qingsuo Philanthropy Development Center, that all the questions were finally answered.

In cooperation with Qingsuo Philanthropy Development Center and the Red Cross, we have planted a forest of saxaul trees in the desert near Minqin County and named it the "CARAXY LOVE FOREST".

Grow Your Love

We committed to plant a saxaul tree in the desert for every grown diamond engagament ring sold in the future, in line with our brand concept "GROW YOUR LOVE" and our sustainable development philosophy.

Name a Tree

We also invite our customers to participate in the process. For every customer who supports environmental protection and abandons the gift packaging, we will give her/him the right to name a saxaul tree and leave a love message on a wooden plate near the saxaul tree.

Photos will be rewarded to our participated customers and they are always welcome for a visit to the love forest.

A Target of

100,000 Trees

Let the stories of love grow up in the desert along with the love forest, guarding our precious love together.
